May River Capital and MECA Solutions Acquire Industrial Engraving

August 15, 2017 — MECA Solutions, a portfolio company of May River Capital, announced it has acquired Industrial Engraving (“IE”) (www.industrial-engraving.com). Headquartered in Pulaski, Wisconsin, IE manufactures and services embossing rolls and embossing machines for use in the paper, foil, tissue, non-woven, and film industries. This first add-on for MECA complements the company’s existing roll business and provides additional platform diversification with attractive customers and end-markets.

Steve Griesemer, May River Partner, said “Industrial Engraving is incredibly well positioned within the market for embossing technology and engraving services. IE has an unmatched reputation for quality, and we are excited about the contributions the business will bring to the broader MECA platform.”

Johnson Bank provided senior debt financing in support of the acquisition. Northstar Capital provided mezzanine debt financing and co-invested equity in support of the acquisition. Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. served as legal counsel to May River and its investor group, while McCarty Law LLP served as counsel to the company and its shareholders.
