We started May River in 2012 with a simple premise:  leverage our friendship, complementary skills, and experience with a singular focus on an under-served but attractive market – differentiated industrial businesses

Today, the firm has over $400 million in assets under management.  We are currently investing through a $170 million institutional fund and seek to deploy $15 to $50 million of equity (or potentially more through co-investment) per platform company

Executive Resource Group

The most critical element to our success is the operating executives with whom we work.  Over time, we’ve been fortunate to develop lasting relationships with many who possess a strong intellectual curiosity and a deep desire to improve all aspects of their business

These operators hail from world class organizations and institutions.  Together, they form our Executive Resource Group and function as force multipliers for the core May River team.  Among other things, we frequently work together evaluating industrial trends, specific businesses, talent management, and growth strategies
